Last weekend we went to Mohegan Sun which is a casino in CT. A friend of ours was celebrating his 30th birthday at Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffet's restaurant. It was my first time at Mohegan Sun and I have to admit it was beautiful, there were restaurants, shops, a nightclub, an arena, bars. I enjoyed Margaritaville, there were guys on stilts making animal balloons and crazy balloon hats to wear. I enjoyed walking by the stores but for some reason my husband wouldn't buy me anything at Tiffany's, go figure. Anyways, as I walked by rows and rows upon endless rows of slot machines I wondered, "What would God think of all this?" A credit room to apply for credit so you can GAMBLE it away! Thousands of people staring at a slot machine for hours hoping that the next time they will win it BIG. Now I might sound like a big hypocrite but I did play on the slots for awhile and I won fifty dollars which covered our meal for the night. Though, how many people go there with money they don't have in the hopes that they will beat the odds and strike it rich. They love money and believe it will make them happy and solve their problems. I believe God is frowning upon the casinos, tears running down His face, wishing His children would choose to turn to Him.

Certainly, the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people who have set their hearts on getting rich have wandered away from the Christian faith and have caused themselves a lot of grief.
